            0.37                                       为了提高日光灯电路的功率因数,因此在日光灯电路上并联了电容器C(如图所示)。
  
 
         其并联的电容器C的容量大小由下式计算:
  C=P(tgφ-tgφ′)/ωU2
         式中P为日光灯电路的总功率(灯管和镇流器消耗的总功率),ω为角频率,U为电源电压,原日光灯电路的功率因数为cosφ,并联电容器后能达到的功率因数为cosφ′,C为并联的电容器的电容。
         下表是推荐的为提高日光灯电路功率因数应并联的电容的电容量(也可自己据上面公式计算应并联的电容器的电容)

            4.75                                    从日光灯工作电路原理可知,是不能通过在启辉器中加电容器来提高电路的功率因数的。启辉器中的电容器的电容是很小的(约0.01~0.05μF),对电路的功率因数几乎无影响。
       那么启辉器中的电容器到底又有何任用?
       启辉器工作中动静触片通断时会产生电火花,电容器的作用是避免或减弱启辉器放电时产生的电磁波对附近无线电设备的干扰,此时电容器也有消除或减少火花避免触点烧坏的作用;日光灯正常工作时,也会产生一些电磁波辐射,对周围无线电设备造成干扰,此电容器也能起到消除或减少辐射的作用。
